De tuimelaars van de Superhead R+ kits zijn van aluminium en de nokkenas is symmetrisch. Het grootste voordeel van deze combinatie is het symmetrisch nokkenas profiel en rollerrockers (de klepstoters staan op lagers) zodat je nog extremer kan gaan in het nokkenas profiel. Dankzij dit kon Takegawa nog extremer gaan met hun nokkenassen. Takegawa garandeerd ook een levensduur tot en met 14000 RPM. De kleppen zijn weer net iets groter geworden (Superhead G7 -> inlaatklep = 28 en uitlaatklep = 23 mm - Superhead R+ -> inlaatklep = 28,5 mm en uitlaatklep = 23,5 mm) en de algemene afwerking is ook weer een stapje vooruit gegaan. Volgens testbankresultaten die Takegawa zelf uitgeeft presteert de zwaarste kit (124 cc) 19,5 PK (de G7 presteerde 18 PK). Dit komt dus in de buurt van de 1ste generatie 4-kleppers van Takegawa. Ze zijn al een hele tijd bezig aan een desmo versie van de 4-klepper, maar deze is nog niet op de markt. Ook een voordeel aan deze Superhead R+ kits is dat deze compacter en goedkoper zijn dan een 4-klepper kit en toch dezelfde (haast dezelfde) prestaties geeft. Made for: Super head + R 88CC
